Viridian

ROLE: Scavenger | Lair Guardian

PERSONALITY: Quiet and depressive, he finds it hard to love.

So named for his beautiful, resplendent scales, Viri is as strong and quiet as the forests he takes after. He was the first of his hatchling group to fly. As such, often he was to lead the scavenging parties, being able to fly highest and furthest. One day he was asked to go hunting with his brother and sister. As usual, the competitive natures of the siblings prompted a race over the plains. Before they set off, the two Mirrors convinced him to fly low to the ground like them, to make it fair. Viridian agreed.
The pathway they chose was not wide enough for a nearly fully grown Guardian. Following his siblings and unable to gain the lift he needed, Viridian's wings crashed into the surrounding pillars of reeds. The bamboo splintered, shards ripping and tearing at the soft membrane of his wings as the force broke and dislocated the bones.

Since then, his wings have healed, but the now fragile membrane threatens to tear and his muscles ache should he choose to fly further than a few miles. Because of this, he has been unable to venture forth upon his Search. This has further pushed the dragon into an even deeper depression, now with outbreaks of violence. These attacks have been aimed towards the guardians of the clan, including his own mother and offspring. Though his wings have healed, Viri is still a broken dragon.

Viridian met Worm-Wood after a battle in one of the nearby forests. He was pushed to like the Wildwood Owl, due to its own inability to fly, despite the appearance of wings.
