(Tracks down prey animals to bring back to the clan for food) "I’ll be gone for good, out there with the creatures in the woods And I’ll be understood, make friends with the pagans in the nude I’ll be no different, just a little less interested In all that new world [stuff] ‘Cause there ain’t no new world in the sticks!" -"The Sticks", by Mother Mother _____Whisper was one of the first members of the Flickering Shadows clan, and was welcomed with open arms by Obsidian and Raspberry. She had been unwelcome in her previous clans due to her knack for talking to herself constantly, rambling about seemingly unintelligible topics, and sometimes simply sitting and staring blankly into walls, grinning madly - needless to say, she was always considered a bit strange, and the clans she had been with didn't appreciate such odd behaviors (regardless how benign). Obsidian and Raspberry, however, saw not her oddities, but her skills - Whisper is an incredible hunter, able to remain motionless in wait for the best prey, and capable of taking down even the most powerful creatures; they knew she could be an asset to the clan, and made sure no one bothered her about her habits. _____Eventually, another supposed "oddball" joined the clan - Shruiken. Shruiken had been looking for a place to stay, and had met Raspberry at the auction house, happily accepting the offer to join the Flickering Shadows - being that this was still early on in the clan's development, Shruiken got to know every member well, but grew closer and closer to Whisper above all. They understood each other near perfectly, and spent most of their free time together. They would remain extremely close even as the clan continued to grow, and other opportunities for companionship arose. _____During that growth, Whisper came across a dragon named Jairo, with whom Whisper formed a near-instant bond; she brought him back to the clan, giving him a place and a job among the others, and introducing him to Shruiken. Shruiken, on seeing Whisper's apparent trust of Jairo, decided to trust him as well, and welcomed him into their little group. The trio eventually shifted into a polycule, and the three couldn't be happier. |
