Aᴡᴋᴡᴀʀᴅ-Sʜᴏʀᴛ ᴛᴇᴍᴘᴇʀ-Hᴏᴛ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴇd-Dʀᴀᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ

Ruby grew up in the Tangled Wood with a clan of Shadow dragons. She was a proud little dragon with a temper to match. She didn’t listen very well, but she wasn’t completely disobedient. She did the minimum in regards to her chores, because she’d rather be out trying some courageous stunt invoked to her from a dare.

She had a flare for drama growing up as well. Everything was blown out of proportion for the young female. The littlest of disagreements would have her fired up and telling her own opinions, which could start fights. Her thoughts were often different from that of the rest of the clan. Her opinions weren’t always stated eloquently either, and she was often rather awkward about the whole thing.

Ruby worked as a gatherer from a young age. She learned the best places to gather foods and other resources from the Chief Gatherer. However, she didn’t like to gather. She prefered to snoop about others’ business. It was her snooping that lead to to find Sapphire, a clan outcast.

You see, Sapphire wasn’t like other dragons. While born male, the spiral had become female. No one could understand what was going on with the dragon, so they’d made her an outcast. But Ruby took a liking to Sapphire, and began hanging out with her. The clan was not happy with their interactions.

Ruby didn’t like how the clan treated her and her new friend, and she got angry with them. It was unfair, and she decided she had to leave. She took Sapphire with her as well. Living as an outcast was no life for any kind of dragon. She regrets having to leave the clan she was used to, but she is genuinely happy with Sapphire.

Rather than join a clan already in existence, Ruby decided to start a clan of her own. She is deeply invested in her own clan and has learned to enjoy the manual work that other clan leaders might not like. She loves to get her hands dirty as an adult, even though she avoided it as a hatchling.

Sapphire helps to keep Ruby calm, and is the reason she had become such a great leader. The Spiral is a constant companion to Ruby. She loves to take care of her clan, and accepts all dragons. It doesn’t matter species, gender, lack of gender, color, or whatever.
