Biography

x4w3d8g.gif Bengal
the stalking shadow

At home in the damp and tropical rain forests, Bengal is like a shadow among the towering trees. Stalking his prey from the shade, Bengal never stops hunting. His golden armor was forged in a volcano deep in the Fire Spine mountains and glimmers as brilliantly as his stripes.

His wings, once a shiny obsidian, have been dyed crimson from the blood of both his prey and the many warriors he defeated in wars for dominance and wealth. He has brought victory to many of the kings and queens he fought for.

His golden stripes, glimmering under the sun, brought fear and despair into the hearts of dragons and animals, knowing his claws and his breath killed without hesitation and empathy.

It is not wealth, but pride that keeps Bengal going. He does not seek riches, he does not seek power. He seeks a proper place in Sornieth, a place to call home.

Throughout the thickets, he scoured. Bengal fought anything that passed his line of sight. This may or may not have gotten him in trouble on multiple occasions, but that doesn't stop his hunger.

Continuing his conquest, he stumbled and fell into the territory of the lair of Smoke and Shade. The forest seemed scorched and trodden. Bengal continued on, heeding no mind to his surroundings.

The darkness thickened. Lights dimmed, and even the animals seemed to thin out. He darted his head left and right, unnerving chills running down his spine. He was being watched, he knew it. He ran and ran till he fell into a thicket. Never before had he felt hunted than when the hunting had ceased.

"Go back, do not go forward." a voice echoed all around him in the night. "I only want to fight." stated Bengal, his front paws firmly planted in the ground. Overhead he saw a shadow streak across the sky. "She will not be pleased. Turn around now." He paused, deciding it would be best to hunt elsewhere. What was beyond that glade that he couldn't see?

He fights to keep the plateau safe from the influences in the night that may prey on those less fortunate than he.
