Dayla is the clan seer and Head Magician. She leads Thunderboone alongside her mate, Dagmos.
"You're nervous."
"You're not,"
Dayla smiled as she flicked her tail around Dagmos's feet. The two progenitors sat at the mouth of their clan's soon to be old territory as the sun set. Impressive violets and blues shone down on the pair as they conversed.
"You're worried about the what if," she said.
Dagmos chuffed, a deep sound. "You see all, Seer."
They headbutt for a moment as Dayla adjusted one of her rings.
Within a week of them returning to the lands of Sornieth, they'd found another clan. Another family of dragons that was just as desperate as them and was willing to join. The others of Thunderboone were beginning to wake as Malken and Maliaka rang the bells that had been silent for so long.
"We have enough now," Dayla said, "we have enough to care for everyone and more. More treasure than we've ever seen in our horde."
A chuckle escaped out of Dagmos's lips. "How long will that last, though? The kids are talking about all the scrolls we can afford now."
"Malaika found some for us both."
A groan.
"She bought it with her own money, love," Dayla said. "The boys are going to pool their own to get everybody some that hasn't been gened yet."
Dagmos nodded slowly.
Silence passed between the two dragons like a cord pulled tight with age. Stillness was their natural language in a land of arcs and lightning bolts.
"We're growing," Dagmos finally said.
Dayla headbutted her mate once more. "That we are love."
"That we are..."
"You're nervous."
