Biography
Dagmos is the Progenitor of Thunderboone Clan. As one of the first dragons in the Stormcatcher's land, Dagmos serves his silent reputation with grace and stoicism.
He found Aries when the storm passed and the air had cooled. The young Guardian flicked and slithered his tail along the stones that sat beneath his massive paws.
"Stuck in thought, son?" He rumbled as he sat next to him.
Dagmos was smaller than many Guardians his age--not that there were many left to begin with--but nonetheless looked the other dragon in the eye.
Aries gazed forward, his eyes sluicing over the oceans to the lands of the Ice Warden.
Things had finally settled into a wave of silence. Black Scroll and Thunderboone were one clan, but each kept their respective names. Hatchlings had been born and left the nest. Dragons trained on the flats below their plateau. It was...quiet.
"When your children left...what drove them?" Aries said quietly.
Dagmos shrugged. "I don't think I'll ever know. Umeme, Malaika, and Malken all stayed because the other three said it was best. The first batch is always the closest with their parents, we've come to find."
Aries nodded. His very first brood had just hatched, and not four days later, they'd found an egg to join them.
"You know," Dagmos yawned, "the two of you have a very similar story to ours,"
Aries turned to the older dragon. "How so?"
"When Dayla first laid, there were only two. Umeme and Malaika were the very first dragons to join our clan despite being just hatchlings. We went and sought out others when we dug up Malken's egg."
Aries's ears flicked in surprise.
"He never came from us, but he was ours all the same."
Below them, three hatchlings mussed about in the sand. Hadrion, Harria...and Kor.
"Your mate and Beetie's made an incredible sacrifice," Dagmos sighed, "and you've all taken great risks to be here,"
Kor suddenly flattened out in the dirt and a wail burst from the small Guardian. The other two came bounding over to help their sister when a massive shadow drifted over them. The trio of hatchlings froze as Malken extended a paw for Kor to grab. After a moment's hesitation, she took it.
"I'd think they'd be proud of you both, and I think they'd be proud of them, too."
Aries's hatchling shot off again, playtime resuming as though nothing happened.
Behind them stood another trio of dragons. Umeme laughed at something Malaika said while Malken dug his paw into the dirt. He flicked over to his siblings suddenly, laughter exploding out of him as Umeme swore and tore after him.
"I think they would be, too," Aries said, a smile breaking across his face.
