Iari

The form shimmers in and out of existence, a bare flicker of shadow in the dim light. Her presence speaks of cool water and stone; of moonlit lilies which have never been touched by the sun.

Iari had never felt at home amongst the desert sands of her heritage. Thus it was to no one's surprise that she had left once she came of age, wandering from clan to clan until she travelled to the edge of the mainland.

What would surprise them, however, is where she found her home -- ironically -- not in a sun-scorched land, but the cold tundras of the south, within the hidden tunnels twisting beneath the ice.
