Evangeline. That was her name. When she was a mere hatchling, she was pushed away, marked as ugly, stupid, and disgusting. Not even her own kin appreciated her. So she left. Off to search the world for someone, or, more likely, something that gave her purpose.
Her ventures took her to see many clans, but she never fit in.
'Maybe someday,' she thought to herself.
Each clan that she visited rejected her, whether for her menacing appearance, or bluntness of tongue.
At one particular clan, she had a very upsetting experience that had officially dubbed her as evil, and demonic.
It was an accident. But nobody would believe her. A single hatchling was hurt, and the clan attacked.
She fought viciously with the clan she thought she would finally fit into, only to have caused havoc and emptiness in her heart.
She couldn't trust anyone. She had stepped on the hatchling's foot so he squealed, and lied about the entire incident, misunderstanding the accidental foot placement.
Now she was covered in scars, scars that marked her for a life of hate.
