It was a very hot spring day as Akiko lay in the shade of the forests edge. Looking out on the flowering meadow where many a butterfly were basking their wings in the sun. Feeling the heat scorch on her dappled jade scales she dreamed herself away to a cool spring of crystal clear water, the little ripples sparkling like glitter in the bright light. Just what she'd need, a little swim...

It was getting uncomfortably hot by now... Even with it being only springtime. She had gone without water for a couple of hours, too lazy to get up and find a drinking spot. T'was was just one of those lazy days, when it's too hot to actually do anything, but doing nothing would result in being fried. Coming to the point of feeling a little dizzy she had to pull herself together and get up!

Continuing into the blooming forest of dark branches with little sprouts, she placed herself in a small glade. As she closed her eyes and held her breath she searched for the familiar sound of running water. But alas, only birdsong... Once again, she found some shade, and laid to rest. "Hopefully by nightfall it will be cool enough for me to continue comfortably." She thought as she laid down her head in the long warm, but not too warm grass. Her afternoon nap was cut short as the refreshing scent of water hit her nostrils. Her head perked up and she immediately started sprinting towards the source of the smell.

It was like gazing into the deities own sacred land- or water really. A beautiful pond at the foot of a small mountainside with fresh water directly from a spring, trickling down the cliffs like raining diamonds. Without hesitation she dove into the cool water, scattering apart any fish schools dwelling there. She of course, wasn't the only one there taking advantage of the spring. Many smaller critters, even insects had found their way to this paradise. And with it being about dinner time o' clock she got everything she could possibly need.
