Biography

by Etymology

This wildclaw suddenly appeared one day as a young dragonet that was brought home in Ripun's talons. As cold to hatchlings as he may be, Ripun raised Hovolm closely under his wing. As soon as she was an adolescent, he began to take her on gathering trips with him. Once she got used to traveling outside of the lair and even into different territories, he immediately began taking her on hunting trips.

It was incredibly hard to jump into a battlefield with Ripun, where she was greatly outmatched. He gave little to no direction for her, and only seemed mad whenever Hovolm fainted. Slowly but surely, Hovolm grew stronger, could handle more attacks, and grew lighter on her feet. Ripun would bring along at least one other dragon, and expected Hovolm to lead the fights. Although she would throw herself in harms way to protect the rest of her battle squad, she would later lash out at them as she tended to her wounds. She has a few nasty scars as a testament to her style of leadership, but she would never let one of her clanmates get seriously wounded.

Hovolm was increasingly given more responsibilities as the next in line to lead the clan, but after draining the hoard's reserves one too many times to help neighboring clans, Ripun stripped her of her roles and training. She challenged him, but ultimately lost not only the battle, but her rights to lead and the respect of many dragons in the lair. Her wounds healed quickly, but her emotional scars did not. She resumed training dragonets, but only years later did she learn to let go and make positive changes to the clan where she can.
