Dellinger and Lisil didn't set out to build Greenport initially. Instead, they built a small port with a lighthouse right on the edge of the Windswept Plateau and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. They hoped to create a small stop for sailors to rest at and for travelling Wind dragons to reconnect with their home. As time went on, though, the port began to grow. More and more dragons began coming to the port regularly, and some even chose to stay and make it their home. The docks were slowly expanded to hold not only ordinary ships but airships as well, as well as various shops so local dragons could sell their wares and trade with sailors. Dragons burrowed into the cliff the lighthouse rested on to make their dens, and the land and sea surrounding the port was explored. The city grew and grew until it was much larger than either of its founders had ever dreamed of it becoming.

Today, Dellinger is on the Council of Six, the group of dragons that rule over and manage Greenport. Together with his mate and a few carefully selected dragons, they watch over the port city and make decisions about its future. The Council reviews proposals brought forward by citizens for changes to the city, keeps pirates out of the port with the Greenport Guard, and responds to various crises in a timely manner. Every dragon on the Council of Six holds much power over Greenport, and Dellinger is determined to use his responsibly.

Simply put, Dellinger isn't really cut out for politics. He's not a very eloquent speaker, he's easily swayed by others, and he's just generally not enthusiastic about it. All that being said, though, Dell is quite passionate. He holds strong beliefs about things and is determined to see things through, even if his mind can be changed on many things. When he's uncertain on something, he'll often turn to his mate, Lisil, for advice. She's the more steadfast of the two, while he has more energy and passion. Together, they are a powerful team with strong sway over the Council.

Outside of a session, Dellinger is a very friendly dragon that's familiar with a number of the average citizens of Greenport. Out of all of them though, the one he'd consider himself closest to is Handel, the captain of the Greenport Guard. While there has been tension in their relationship, especially during the Guard's Revolt, the two have maintained a solid and close relationship outside of politics. Having a reminder that there's more to life than running Greenport is important to both of them.

Plus the added arcane aesthetic on top and the accent I only just noticed and I can safely say he's probably going to remain my favorite in your lair. He's a mess. A lovely mess. A himbo level of mess! There's smoke, hands, eerie stuff coming out of his claws and everything else possible.

Dellinger looks like an imposing dragon with his swirling smoke and ominous masked face. Like all your dragons, he has a lot of lovely layered details amongst his smoky blacks and glowing purple-pinks. My favourite moment on him is the onyx grasp over top of his arcane crystals, like they are alive and gathering some dark magic. I gotta say, I'm curious how his character evolved alongside his appearance, but I love the contrast between him being a powerful-looking lord of a prestigious council, but being down to earth, not a politician (not really), and relying on his loved ones. He is an engrossing character.

There are so many subtle details that make me love him more the longer I look at him. The pink claws and silver toerings, the stars in the smoke swirl that give him a very deep-space vibe, the way it blends into the smoky trails of the unearthly onyx pieces, the pink/purple hues on the tail... Just a perfectly balanced dragon. And familiar matching here is off the charts.

I have NO idea how you managed to do it but the unearthly onyx grasp actually looks like its reaching AROUND the different crystals from the starwood veil. It doesn't stop there, because all of Dellinger's apparel manages to have a similar effect, looking like they're all part of the same set intended to go together.
