Rez genuinely doesn't understand why he's so off-putting. He tries his best to put his best feather forward, and yet for some reason strangers tend to give him a wide berth. Perhaps it's his slinking, loping movement that seems less Coatl and more Spiral. Or maybe it's the way he makes unblinking eye contact while swaying his head back and forth (a testament to his poor eyesight) and fiddles with the beads loped around his neck when he is anxious, which is often. It might even be the drawn-out, fragmented speech of a dragon who learned to speak the common tongue much later than most. He MEANS well, though, he really truly does, and those that can get over his odd behavior have a quick-footed Coatl at their beck and call. You just...have to get there first.
