Shimmers has always been a bit of an odd ball. She's the clan Necromancer, and is also the clan spook. Many hatchlings adore her, but also fear her all the same. It's not uncommon for Shimmers to say something out of the ordinary, or even quote a now dead dragon. It's all a day's work for Shimmers.

From a young age Shimmers could speak to the dead, and see the ghosts of passed dragons. It was unsettling for her parents when she would stare into darkness as a hatchling and talk to shadows. Being a dragon born of the Arcane, it wasn't too surprising she had strange qualities, but no one expected a necromancer out of an Arcane dragon. No one in the clan really knew Shimmers when she was a child, but the stories she tells are enough to get even the most grounded dragon a little nervous. Tales of talking to dead clan leaders, dead murderers, the murdered, everything.

Shimmers joined the clan when Delta stumbled upon her and offered her a spot. She was one of the first dragons to join the clan, and is one of Delta's most trusted friends. He almost always looks to her for advice, be it about the weather, food supplies, or minuscule things like if they should expect beastclan or not.

Now days in the clan, Shimmers is seeked out when dragons feel something is going to happen, and she calls upon the spirits of dead dragons to help her possibly foresee the future. She's seen a few things, such as the dragon Zed joining the clan. She also foresaw Ganelon joining the clan, and the move to Plague from Shadow. Besides that she's seen small things, such as weather and other things.

The most commonly referred to ghost is "Tien", who according to Shimmers, was a grandmother figure she had as a hatchling. No one besides Shimmers knows who Tien is, but she is regarded as an important "member" of the clan. She is described as a female pearlcatcher with the Petal, Hypnotic, and Stained genes, which raised many questions because the genes were of recent genetic mutation. She was the colors Slate, Emerald, and Fire, and born of the Earth. Shimmers said she never really knew how Tien died, just that the dragon was able to talk to her after a certain point as a spirit.

Shimmers is mated to Arashi, who is the healer and hatchling patroler. Her son Remembrance is also a bit of a necromancer, and Voipina is a bit of both, though he tends to be a bit romantic. Shimmers has other children in different clans, but generally does not refer to them as they are away. Her familiar is the Maren Oracle Rune. The two are one of the best pairs when it comes to seeing the future.
