Butterfly Sting

Born from an egg found by a different clan, Yew never knew of her true parents. Soon after being hatched though she was put up for purchase for another clan. She was too young to understand what was happening but she understands now. Unlike some other clans that give their hatchling a choice of staying, leaving on their own, or joining their deitey in service, there is a set of dragons whom sell heir hatchlings. Dragons who care for nothing but gold and trinkets and have no interest in caring for the dragons they create. Luckily for Yew a passing Guardian by the name of Reign took interest in the young hatchling. Immediately after shouting out a price, all the other bidders quickly shut their jaws. Apparently Reign was well known among the trading business and made quick work of the trade post, taking Yew far from such uncaring dragons.

Yew was then raised by the Nomad Clan. Draconis taught her speech, writing, and history. Darastrix taught her of courage, kindness, and generosity. But the one dragon she grew most fond of was Esme, who taught her of battle, holding your ground, and to fight for whats right and for what you love most. She took to Esme's teaching the fastest and soon grew to be Esme's second in command to the Guardians of the Nomad Clan. Where Esme is known for her brute strength, and her ability to take a hit and keep on swinging; Yew is more known for quick and powerful blows, and putting her opponent on the ground before they know what hit them.

Yew is very much like Esme in they way she acts and feels. She is a strong willed young skydancer whos blade will protect the weak and strike down the evil and cold hearted. She is a shining beacon in the dark for her people and always trys to brighten up everyone's day. Her love for her clan is unending and she will defend it with her life.

"Bet you weren't expecting that were ya?"

SHORT STORY

Draconis had gone on a journey to find a new mate when he had come across a dragon trading a rather unusual scroll. Thinking it would be something the clan could use for trade later on, Draconis took the scroll and thanked the dragon for the trade. Seeing how Draconis was only a small fae and counld hold very few items all at once he decided that he would take the scroll, and a few other items he had come across, back to his clan. The next night as Draconis slept atop the trees, the scroll glowed and a bright blinding light filled the area.

Draconis fell from the trees as the branches could no longer hold his weight. Draconis let out a shout of surprise and pain as he landed on the ground. Having been so rudely awakened he groaned before blinking awake and searching for what caused his sudden fall. 'What in the worl-' his thought were cut short as he knowticed everything around him seemed smaller then it once was. Moving to stand Draconis finally knowticed his new features. Four grey and white claws, a pink fur covered tail, feathered pink wings, and a large pink swirled pearl lay beside him. Draconis panicked and began pulling at his new features thinking that there was no way he was actually a pearlcatcher now.

'How?...I dont understand? What happened to me?' Thinking over his last few days he quickly remembers the scroll. 'Thats the only explination...' Draconis sighed and sat down on the ground trying to calm himself enough to figure out what to do next. 'should i go find the dragon i got the scroll from or do I just return to the clan like I was to do before?...'

Draconis sighed and decided it was going to be near impossible to find the traveling dragon he had originally gotten the scroll from, 'I guess I should just head back to the clan for now...I wonder what Darastrix's reaction will be when I return...?'
