B I O G R A P H Y

Warning bells went off in the distance as panic spread throughout the Realm. Signs of territorial struggle could be heard from the skies above the Grove. Dragons rushing to and fro, both able civilians and Guild members, gathering their weapons and gear, ready to defend. Aetherelion’s archers positioned in floating platforms above fired silver arrows enchanted to hit their mark. Mages fired orbs of pure destruction at the largest clusters of Shadebound creatures phasing through the 11 portals. Corpses in the air fell toward the bloodstained Starwood forest beneath.

Theodrada was already in the midst of aerial combat. Slash, then stab. Dodge. Stab. Repeat. The wind of a silver arrow brushed past her head feathers, finishing off the Harpy in front of her. She performed a side-slip and dove toward a duo of distracted Raptorik. Another slash and crimson-red gashes of blood painted the skies as the figures fell to their doom. The mess of wide-scale battle left Theodrada disoriented, barely registering the harpy that rammed her side. She thrust her blade through the harpy’s heart and flipped herself over, recovering and charging toward the next enemy.

The Aetherians were closing in on the Gateway Platform, driving the invading force back to their origin. Stray Beastmen in the air were almost immediately shot down by Aetherian arrows or magic bolts. The mages slowly backed away from the platform while the warriors continue to keep the intruders in place. A silver barrier slowly developed, encasing the mass of bodies that still threaten to burst out.

Theodrada turned back toward the mages, straining to contain the rush of bodies still flowing through the portals. Those unwilling to leave through them were trampled and crushed by Beastmen still flowing in. Anguished yells of pain in foreign languages sickened even Theodrada down to her gut. Above the bubble of death, a Midnight-blue Guardian hovered overhead, her glowing blue aura surrounding that of the portals. One by one, the Starwood-blue swirls of dimensional magic closed off, leaving the final Beastmen stranded in Aetherian territory.

She closed her eyes and breathed a sigh of relief.
