Umbra hails from the Tangled Wood, where she grew up in the Wispwillow Grove. A Shadow dragon to her core, Umbra loved to hide in the Grove's darkness and jump out at unsuspecting wanderers. As she grew up, her pranks became more elaborate, and she quickly became known as a master trickster.

Besides that, Umbra was enthralled by the glowing fungus of her home turf. The local swamp witch (or wise woman, depending on who you ask) noticed her interest, and offered to take Umbra on as an apprentice. Umbra eagerly agreed, and started to learn a brand of 'magic' that was one third knowledge & common sense, one third experimentation, and one third pure, unapologetic showmanship.

After her tutor declared her lessons done, Umbra left the Wood to further expand her knowledge of magic and science. While she did wander a little, her ultimate goal was always the Isles- a little too bright, sure, but the culture of knowledge and experimentation would be perfect for her.

Umbra likes her new clan just fine, although SOME DRAGONS are just a LITTLE TOO MEAN. Was it really necessary for Arcanum to yell at her like that?? It was just a joke, a little prank, didn't he realize that...did he? He seems really hurt before he started yelling....

Oh, this necklace? Oh no, it's new. She got it from...someone. *embarrassed giggling*

Now happily married to Arcanum, the two serve the council as the Head of the Coven and Head of the Mage Circle, respectively. While the two still have their disagreements, they always work it out with a bit of Heathly Communication.
