adoptive father of Sanguine Personality: Kind Calm Knowledgeable Optimistic Freindly It was not so long ago that Elisheba was merely a legend to Inaurata, a rumor whispered in hushed tones that filled the backdrop of his unlife. At first, the notion of a fellow vampire overthrowing the natural order of things frightened him. If she could truly walk in sunlight, then she was the only one, and by revealing herself to the wider populace of Sornieth, she could put all nightwalkers in jeopardy, including his adopted daughter Sanguine. Rather than shudder and shake with his fellows in the darkness, Inaurata and Sanguine sought out the root of the legend and found Elisheba. He meant at first to spy on Elisheba, and then, if he found that the rumours were true, he would try to convince her of her folly and of the danger she placed all vampires in. If that failed, he decided, he would be ready to give up his immortality in a fight to stop her. Rather than reject Inaurata outright, Elisheba welcomed him warmly, and praised him for his fortitude, intelligence, and determination. When he asked of her plans to become a daywalker, she shared with him her vision of a world where vampires would no longer need to fear the sun, nor fire, nor anything at all. Her resonant voice and visionary nature struck a chord in Inaurata, but the proof of her words overcame all of his doubts in an instant. He took the proffered potion from her, and stepped for the first time in his unlife into the sun, with Sanguine. He walked by day, returned to Elisheba unscathed, and pledged his fealty to her at once. In exchange for his loyalty, Inaurata became the Consort of Her Eternal Majesty and her Emissary of the Sun. While he enjoys all the wealth and power afforded by his station, as well as the benefits of the Illumium serum, in truth Inaurata dedicates himself to Elisheba's cause out of trust and unshakable conviction. Of all those under Elisheba's command, Inaurata is the truest believer and her most stalwart supporter. |
