Raamiah

They were both doing well. Just returning to the lightning territory after chasing a huge system of storms for days on end. it was fantastic to watch, never before had they seen lightning in some many colors or rain fall so quickly it pierced leaves. Truly a once in a lifetime storm! Raamiah and Ri found themselves smiling at the memory chattering between each other. However, as they chatted they did not hear the approaching steps of an imperviously large pack of dragons. When they made thier way over the border that separated the fire territory from the lightning Ri noticed the sound and raised the alarm to her master. Raamiah now on alert was glaring in all directions behind them her pearl placed under her to protect it.

"Show yourself!" She screeched loudly wings flared upwards to appear far larger than she actually was. But the dragons she was now face to face with filled her with fear. A pack of ten dragons, two of them large male ridgebacks and their gang of mirrors. The mirrors weren't her problem... The two ridgebacks were. It was about the time when that species would lose their spines making them far more aggressive. Her size and her strength were no match for the two agitated dragons...

And she was right...

Agony filled cries and the sound of thunder crashed around her. Heart racing, blood pouring from her open wounds and a critically injured Ri across her body. They chased after her mouths covered with her blood roars and anger driving them forward after her. Why wouldn't they leave her alone?! They already crushed her pearl... And she wouldn't be able to run any longer... she was so close to death her vision was now only a pin-hole of color. "Ri, I am... sorry..." She collapsed the sound of the dragons approaching what she thought would be the last thing she ever heard...

"ENOUGH! Return to the land you come from before I show you all the true meaning of fear!" The running had stopped after the loud roar echoed through the air. She felt something land over her feeling cold in the shadow. When she heard the other dragons squeak in terror her weak eyes fluttered open... She saw a gigantic purple mass looming over her letting out roar after roar and snarl after snarl. She went to say thank you but before she could work up the energy to do so her world went silent, and black.

Pain stabbed through her body as her eyes flew open turning to screech and bite at whatever was applying the pressure to her leg. But she paused eyes wide at the looming purple Imperial before her. He explained everything to her... How he was out on a flight to find more plants for his magic and potions when he saw her running. While one voice told him to let it happen another told him that her time wasn't up in this world. She had been out cold for weeks, but that was the last thing on her mind as she looked around in a panic for Ri. When she found her familiar wrapped up carefully in a nest she relaxed.

Her new friend, who she found out was named Scorpion, showed her around the small clan he called home. This clan was... different. Everyone seemed to do thier own thing, but yet all seemed so willing to help each other. After all, she was saved by a stranger and when asked he told her why everyone is like this here. And she lives by this saying, with her new family close to her heart...

"Everyone here is different, everyone here is a friend. Everyone here is family, and everyone here is loved. We will not judge you for your weakness, or prize you for your strength, we will not turn a blind eye to injustice, we will not leave a life up to fate. We respect our individuals as though we respect ourselves, you are not classed by rank, species, or gender. No dragon is better than another, we all need each other... to be the best shepherds."
