• originally a mercenary-for-hire for travellers looking to protect their wares, alucard fell victim to a pack of feral nocturnes while escorting a high priority caravan through the tangled wood. they had acted more beast than dragon, wild eyes glistening off the moonlight, and the skydancer had limped away from that fight victorious, but not without a price. porphyric hemophilia, she had said, looking over the dark burns on his skin, the redness in his eyes, as he stumbled into lorica and collapsed from the overbearing, sickly sun. he has learned to live with his afflictions - the alternative is madness. • alucard quickly found himself enamoured with midnight during the early days of the clan, but her reclusive and soft spoken nature clashed against his cold and emotionless tone, leaving the two with little to say to one another. over time midnight began to prefer his quiet company over the others, and the two would sit in understanding silence for hours. it's not known exactly how and when the two of them acknowledged their feelings for one another, but they have been the clans longest standing couple, with little sign of their love waning. • has found some solace in his friendship with fenris, a wildclaw that seems to suffer from some form of lycanthropy, and the two can often be seen sparring and brawling with one another outside of the barracks at night. he is one of the few dragons that can stand to be around euria for long periods of time, and is forever grateful to noise for helping him control his urges during the initial inoculation period of his vampirism. • while alucard does not need to sleep, eat and has gained several physical advantages while under the effects of his affliction he feels he often suffers with it more than he benefits. his lack of hunger is replaced with debilitating pangs of thirst that leave him drunk on the thought of blood, and searing black marks dance across his flesh in any sunlight stronger than the norm. nightmares are quite frequent, images of cold, ghastly claws grasping at his skin, lavish meals infested with flies and larvae. sometimes he will longingly dream of basking in the sunlight, on warm cobblestone bricks.
