Matriarch

Every clan needs a leader. For this group of dragons who serve under the Lightweaver, that leader is Sydonia. The Imperial acts as the clan’s matriarch as well as their coliseum leader – guiding them in matters of politics and battle alike.

While she might seem intimidating to some, Sydonia is an essentially good dragon at heart. She does her best to be fair and just. In many cases, she acts as a mediator for the dragons in her clan. When they can’t come to an agreement, they call for Sydonia. She asks questions and observes the situation, making the most fair, rational decision based on the situation. She’s well-respected among the clan for her fairness. Few dragons have a bad word to say about her.

It’s a lot of responsibility for one dragon, but Syd handles it well. Whenever the pressure of leading gets to be a little too much, she relies on her mate, Russia, to help her. Sometimes there are problems that even she doesn’t know how to solve. In those cases, she discusses them with her mate, and he helps her find a solution. He tends to be a little more harsh than Sydonia, but his fiery personality balances her own calm demeanor out well.

When she isn’t leading an entire group of dragons, Sydonia likes to take some time for herself. In particular, she enjoys solving logic puzzles. She keeps dozens of books just full of them. They help to keep her mind sharp. As the leader of her Coliseum team, she also needs to keep her claws sharp. She can often be found practicing in the training grounds. It’s quite the sight to watch her practice – when Sydonia is fighting, she moves so quickly she’s practically just a blur of crimson and gold.
