"Druid" and "dryad" sound so similar, don't you think?

Biography

I am the proliferation of cells over an open wound; I am the phagocyte consuming illness; I am the auxin that finds the sunlight. I am Recovery, bound to the lands and plants of the Labyrinth such that I might use Sornieth's magicks to repair and regrow myself and others. I heal plants and animals with equal quickness.

My inclusion in the Grove is something between happenstance and fate. I already called a small section of dense forest home before Paxid found it as his Charge, and chose to remain here with my feral mate, Ash. I am comfortable here, and serve my own and Paxid's purposes well.

Oh, but don't mistake "feral" for "stupid". Ash is a bright, kind, and caring dragon. Whether or not he has the capacity for language I am unsure, but I know that he holds no interest in it. He is a drake of simple but appreciable pleasures, and I will hear no unkind words against him.

I am a seasoned healer and herbalist, using druidic bindings to knit torn flesh back together or mix salves and teas in a way the average dragon cannot. I have my limits, certainly - some ethical and some magickal - but there are few injuries that I cannot heal. Not all healing is instantaneous, but it will go quicker and smoother with my aid.

My sensitivity to surrounding energies, especially those of the plants, allows me an effective additional sense. Though it is not far-reaching, I can interpret certain facts of my environment from nearby plants, such as events that transpired in my absence, or which soon will. The plants speak, if only one knows how to listen.

My familiar, Pictum, is a delightful companion and keeps my spirits in check. She is a reminder of my connection to the Gladekeeper, and my bond with Sornieth. She is also a good friend and mediator.

Lately, I have been teaching Sampkin my ways, but his skills leap forth in bounds that not only outstrip what I have offerred, but in directions I do not approve of. While I am nearly as skilled a poisoner as I am a tincture- and salve-maker, there is very little good use for poison.
