Milan was boring. At least, she looked boring to everyone because she was a fae. In fact, she was very far from boring. Her language was just different from everyone else’s, and so her accent was often hard to interpret. Whenever she said, “oh, I’m the accountant,” people generally thought she said, “oh, I’m in a secret fight club.” Both of which are correct, but still. It is considered awfully rude to presume that one participates in such a violent hobby. Milan makes sure to flap her fins aggressively at those who take the conversation down that road and correct them first their scandalous assumptions.

Because, first of all, Milan was an accountant. She managed the finances and balanced books for Skyloft's shops. She converted treasure to gems and vice versa. She decided when a service or good was no longer profitable to the clan and therefore received the axe. She often went for the riskiest venture available to her, and often raked in lots of treasure for taking such opportunities. This was due, in part, to a seer named Yanira who Milan had come across on her journey to be the richest dragon on Sornieth. Milan gave her shelter, and Yanira gave Milan possible outcomes on her business exploits.

Not everyone appreciated this particular relationship, however. Over the years, Milan has come across many unseemly businesspeople who were quite quick to pull the metaphorical trigger on her and Yanira. So Milan had the idea of employing a mercenary named Brooklian to teach her how to defend herself. All she had to offer in return was and endless supply of free drinks at Beryl and Sunriser's tavern. Alas, Yanira was a pacifist, so she would have to have a bodyguard with her at all times. But that was fine with Milan. The mercenary’s business did quite well in her clan, after all, after a bit of forceful nudging.

____Milan knew of underground fight clubs long before she ever knew how to fight. She grew up in a clan that ran a fight club, after all. And since Milan didn’t believe in not profiting off anything and everything, why not put her new fighting skills up for betting? She presented this idea to Brooklian, after consulting Yanira, who agreed to be her partner. . . . after some more forceful nudging. They had a bit of a rocky start, but they have since become the well-to-do fighting duo of Little Bolt and her Big Buff Bodyguard.

The gold plating Milan wears during their fights have protected has protected her identity for a long time. It was entirely by accident that the plating conducted electricity, but from what Milan knew of Julian's past track record, she wasn't surprised at the outcome. It made for interesting fights, anyway. As for the begrudging Brooklian, Milan just fished out an old mask from the back of Ziggy's tent one day when he was gone. Brooklian complained of the smell of it, but Milan didn't believe him.

____Milan was not alone on her journey out of the Tangled Wood. When she made a pitstop on the edge of the Drag, she met a mysterious and oftentimes floaty skydancer, who was prone to shouting odd predictions at random. This was Yanira, a homeless dragon who had traveled the border of the Wood and the Sunbeam Ruins all her life. Milan found Yanira quite useful, because Yanira would often yell when the treasure to gem ratio would change. Milan rubbed her money-grubbing little claws together and asked Yanira one day, “would you like to come with me on a journey?”

When the two dragons finally exited the Tangled Wood, they traveled south to the Windswept Plateau. On their journey, Yanira often yelled about incoming attacks sent from peeved off well established businessdragons. It was after about the sixth or seventh attack that Milan finally had enough. She threw up her little claws and flapped her fins angrily at the sky. “That’s it!” she shouted. “We’re getting a bodyguard!”

It was time for the biannual cleaning of the vault. Milan was impressed with the stores she'd saved over the months, but the fact was that most of the items in the vault were moot. Outdated forms of treasure and currency rarely used nowadays. Milan sighed. She needed to clear all of it out to make room for new acquisitions.

She turned her tiny head at the sound of voices, flapping her frills indignantly. Probably some annoying Summerween trick-or-treaters. . . . An idea began to form in Milan's smug little mind. Actually, instead of just dumping the unused treasure somewhere, Milan could just give it to the trick-or-treaters.

Milan went to greet the dragons at her door, grinning as evilly as a fae possibly can. It was a good thing most other dragons couldn't read fae emotions. "Happy Summerween," she greeted in her monotone voice.
