THEILA
Clan Matriarch

Theila came from a small clan with no name. She comes from common stock; no great names, no powerful figures, and no special abilities grace her family tree. She grew up in a loving family but a very plain and frugal one, as well. Theila grew up staring at her reflection, imagining herself dripping in jewels. Her games of pretend always placed herself in the center as a noble, a heroine, sometimes even a queen surrounded by adoring followers. Her parents wished for her to continue their small but successful business as lair expanders. Theila knew she was destined for more.

At first, Theila was a horrible leader. She only cared for herself and her reputation. Her followers were little more than tenants, and disgruntled dragons would often leave her clan as quickly as they joined.

It took a lot of time and burned bridges for Theila to finally come around and realize the harm she had done. She was no important lady, she was no glamorous queen, she was just a selfish tyrant. She was the exact opposite of everything she aspired to be since childhood. She left what remained of the clan in Idris' claws and left to begin The Search. The dragon who returned months later was a far cry from the old Theila. She refuses to speak about The Search, but it was obvious that whatever had happened on her journey changed her forever. The only thing she has ever revealed about her journey is that her Charge is a secret...literally. She holds a precious and ancient knowledge that she plans to protect until the time comes to reveal it.

Theila is a vain dragon, and the quickest way to her heart is a valuable gift. She tries her best to be a fair leader worthy of following, but she can still be a little full of herself at times. Theila's upbringing as a lair digger developed impressive physical strength. Her journey on The Search as well as continued training in the Coliseum developed her magical abilities and tactical knowledge. Theila is not just a pretty face; she is the most powerful dragon in the clan. She is the clan's most formidable defense against any threat. Although Theila tends to err towards kindness she will not hesitate for a moment to remind any creature not to challenge her clan.
