Light Subspecie: Glimmerling

An offshoot branch of the more elusive and reclusive Raylings, Glimmerlings are often what other dragons actually see when they think they have seen a Rayling. You should not let this disappoint you if it happens to you, however, as Glimmerlings are more active, outgoing and verbal than their wiser and frailer cousins (this is not to say that no Glimmerling is wise - they simply have a hard time storing information in any efficient manner) and are the best way to contact the Raylings... or anyone else, for that matter, should you feel the need.

Simply call them down from their aerial acrobatics or whatever other activity they are up to (Glimmerlings have a very hard time staying still, since their magical energies constantly leak out into their bodies, instead of properly storing in their minds and wings) by flashing a mirror, coin, jewelry or a piece of broken glass - anything that can reflect the sun, really - at them and ask them to relay your package or message, whatever and to whomever it may be, and they will gladly go about their task.

Beware, however, that Glimmerlings are notorious hoarders, and will likely sneak away with whatever shiny thing you used to call them down with. It is actually seen as good manners to give it to them as a transport fee. A Glimmerling called down with a scratched, muddied, broken piece of glass is unlikely to deliver their message or package promptly, if at all.
