Elsa was the product of magical experiments of her old clan. She was the product of a Water clan of mages who practiced deep magic secretively. They'd been hoping for a hatchling with great magical potential, a true seer; instead, they got Elsa, who showed only the dimmest spark of magic. However, she was suitable for a test subject. Within a very short span of time, the cult of Water mages she'd been born into shaped the completely plain Guardian hatchling into a shimmering Wildclaw. However, the forces of the scrolls they used warped the energy in the shifting tides of the Leviathan Trench, and the hatchling's blue eyes were finally warped into seeing glimpses of the future - but only a few moments ahead into the future. For the first days of her life, Elsa lived in pain and confusion, unable to separate the future from the present - but her gift saved her life when she saw the Maren assault on the lair a few seconds before it happened. They missed her alone among the weeds - and the young dragon, shuddering, swam upwards, away from the red water. When she felt the sunlight for the first time, she turned towards its source.

Quinten found her next to a stream that ran through Light's territory a few days later, almost starved. She did not speak for months; Lohengrin would sit next to her, humming and singing. She carries a Sunrise Hibiscus, enchanted by Sinfonia to bloom forever, as a gift from her mate.

Elsa finds her purpose and self-worth in fighting to defend her home and her mate. The immediate nature of her foresight makes her an incredibly skilled and deadly fighter. In the early days of the clan, she led Sonata and Loki to become the clan's first fighter, and she founded and maintains the Dawn Guard, the clan's military division. She also serves as chief trainer of the future Exalted, although she has been considering training either Zivota or Cavatina to take over that responsibility.

When not on duty, she can almost always be found with her mate Lohengrin. Although Quinten is nominally the second in command of the clan, for all intents and purposes Elsa holds that position instead.

Named after the Elsa of Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin, not Elsa from Frozen.
