Bane and his identical twin sister, Bast, came to the clan as ruthless muscle-for-hire. When Cecil began to notice a rise in beast clan activity, he realized that their defenses may not always be enough to protect them fully; for this reason, he accepted Bast and Bane into the clan on the condition that they would defend Clan Dorsia above all else. Having nowhere else to go after leaving the Scarred Wasteland, they agreed, and have been a part of the clan ever since.

Bane isn't the best at thinking things through -- he has his sister for that. Impulsive by nature, he tends to act first and think later which can occasionally be disastrous for all parties involved. He lost an eye as a hatchling for this very reason, but it hasn't affected his ability to maim his enemies in the slightest. He likes to flip up his patch and show the empty socket hole to surprise young dragons, which usually earns him a slap upside the head from his sister.

Bane is an enormous flirt and tends to embellish some of his stories to gain the attention of dragons of all genders. Rejection doesn't really faze him and he falls in and out of love easily and often. Though no longer affiliated with the Scarred Wasteland, he still will occasionally offer a prayer to the Plaguebringer out of habit. That being said, he will defend Clan Dorsia to his grave, even from his own deity if it came down to it.
