 He didn't even have a name when he woke up in depths of the Sea of a Thousand Currents a long time ago. And when he started his Search as a Guardian, he had no idea about what he wanted to protect. But he stumbled upon Tsunami Flats and there he met Ryartay, similar being, who became his beloved wife. Their clan was really small and weak, but yet unnamed Guardian and Ryartay managed to give birth to three lovely hatchlings, all three were girls, their pride and hope. However, his dragons were not able to live in Tidelord's grounds, and the King decided to move somewhere else - his worst decision, he supposes - his destination was the Shifting Expanse, which borders weren't that far for his feeble clan to reach. They made it through Fishspine Reef, however, during this hard journey his clan was caught in a sudden current, and only the King and his dear daughter Luria were able to survive: Ryartay and two of their children dissapeared in crushing depths. No matter how hard he tried to look for them, all he found were the remains of his unnamed daughters. He frantically tried to ressurect them, but only lost his mind and tore his own wings in distress. Carrion Canyon was the best place for an Elder and his daughter to start over. Dragon in despair - Wingless named himself not out of metaphor or illusion, but reality. Having lame wings, the Guardian would never know the ability of flight again. However, rather than shying away from the frightening sight of his dragging, motionless, webbed limbs, his daughter instead praised and nurtured him for his hardships in life and respected him as a fighter that overcame his disability. Wingless called and many dragons came to help him in his desolation, to build their homes and to write their stories as Stormcather's loyal disciples. Wingless called his clan the Temple of Soul, and decided to accept everyone who would ask, regardless of their past. The very first dragons who heard his call were Lavellan and Savior, and they may be called the only close friends of unsociable leader even now, as time passed. Later on, numerous dragons also joined Wingless' growing lair - they all formed different small groups, the distinction of which was very vague. And finally, when the population became large, dragons of all kinds started to ask for a shelter - they came as allies, or were thrown out their own clans for various reasons. Wingless was too tired to make up any rules and restrictions, and moreover, to check on their implementation, so only one was settled - 'kill own clanmate - be executed, fracture own home - be exiled.' When Wingless saw that his clan is no longer in danger and can provide for its own, he decided to step away, leaving the reigns to his beloved heir, his daughter. Although he still couldn't overcome the thought of losing Ryartay, his heart relaxed a bit. He decided that after all, having all of these dragons near isn't that bad. Wingless still finds it difficult to express his feelings towards his clan. He is always silent and prefers watching them from a distance, almost never interfering: he lost a lot of things dear to him and became inable of expressing compassion, and even lashing out without reasons from time to time. Time passed, and Temple of Soul became powerful and famous - observing it with pride, Wingless noticed that walls of the Tempest Spire are too tight for such a swarm. Savior adviced the Observatory - it was way bigger than the Spire, and also full of pure magic which clan needed. So the Temple of Soul, once feeble and tiny, came all the way through Sorneith to reach the Starfall Isles, and this time, everyone got there safely. Wingless decided to take one last step towards his disability - in desperaion he recited the scroll which totally changed him - the King, ironically, became a Skydancer. But even this, sadly, didn't help him to fly again - his wings didn't ressurect properly, however, he now became able of gliding - the thing he never ever dreamt to do again. Full of hopes and dreams, dragons of all kinds raised their heads to the night sky - the stars were blinking, as if promised them marvelous future. And so it was. Soon after everyone finally settled at the Observatory and the Focal Point, one early morning, new dragon appeared. She had an intimidating aura and was clearly scared at the same moment, but no one dared to chase her away - something in her was... different. Wingless already got used to strange and dangerous individuals coming to ask for shelter, so he didn't even pay attention at first. But when she approached, the King started to cry - they were tears of relief and happiness, and the whole clan was marveling to see an unemotional King at this state. New dragon was Ryartay - the Queen who was buried at the Sea of a Thousand Current centuries ago.
