A L I C E
 Once upon a time there was a young dragon who fell into the rabbit hole. No one knows quite where it goes except for she but never shall she tell. See you mustn’t speak of where it leads or else they’ll find you. With that she put down her book, the wide-eyed hatchlings in front of her speechless at the story she had just spun and the ending she gave it. With a whirl she left them just like that, too stunned for words or even to follow her out to wherever it was she was going. You see, she didn’t even know where she was going. The voices in her head speaking, speaking, speaking, over and over again they spoke. Strange things moved about within the dark recesses of her brain, bright colors, clouds, strange large bugs with smoke seeming to erupt from their mouth hole’s like a dragon’s would, and a feline type creature that smiled constantly and disappeared without a trace. Many in her clan found Alice completely insane and honestly she didn’t pay them any mind because she knew she was insane. She was mad to be exact and she loved every minute of it. Sometimes she would find herself sitting in the clan blurting out everything that came to her mind and other days she would run around, frantically searching for something that was never lost in the first place. Always did she find herself running out of time or rather running into too much time. Her life was a pattern of colors and paradox’s all tidy and neatly covered in bows and fluff but really, what was life? A cacophony of broken realities and things that are combined with things that aren’t. Who’s to say things are real and things aren’t real, who has the authority to say the sky is blue and water is wet. Why isn’t the sky red and water vaporous? Those were the ways she saw the world. Up was down, down was up, cold was hot, and hot was cold. The synapses in her brain, firing at such alarming rates that she herself couldn’t fathom the things around her and it drove her to insanity but I guess insanity is the price you pay for genius. She is a genius after all, but no one will ever know the babbling Guardian who keeps to herself and spins tails of faraway lands with faraway creatures really is one of the most intelligent minds alive but how could she be?Is she isn’t or is she is? No one ever knows but her and she isn’t telling. She is quite late after all. |
