Lineage

Biography

A storm-colored wicker Easter basket, its arched handle decorated with a fire-colored ribbon. The left of the basket is overflowing with red, orange, and yellow flowers. In the center of the basket are three Light eggs nestled in grass. Sitting in the right of the basket is Keahi, smiling delightedly.
Four candy hearts. Clockwise from left: a candy heart decorated like Tomato Jupiter; a tiny gold heart; a shimmery maroon heart; a gold heart decorated with flames. Keahi
Clan Hatchling-sitter

Nicknamed Uncle Kee
Though named for his coloration rather than his personality, Keahi's name fits both, for he is not as reserved with his emotions as many Imperials. He describes himself as "young at heart", scorning careful words in favor of forthright ones.
While searching for a place to call home, Keahi came across an alarming scene: a female Imperial, not much younger than himself, talking to herself - and screaming at him. Though perturbed by the vitriol aimed at him, Keahi felt compelled to help this troubled young dragoness to the best of his ability.

He approached her, and it soon became apparent to him that she wasn't talking to herself: she was begging "Quyen" to calm down. And he was adamantly refusing.

Not knowing what else to do, he offered her a choice: he would stay by her side while she worked out her conflict, to offer any assistance that he could, or he would remove himself from her presence, if that was what she required.

He wound up compromising: he removed himself from her sight, but stayed close enough to be of assistance.

He was relieved and glad when she stopped switching between Quyen's personality and her own: it was disturbing to witness.

Having realized that, he tries to be loving, understanding, and supportive; he knows that he will never fully comprehend how hard it must be for his mate - to be subject to such a combative and antagonistic personality - but he is determined to come to terms with Quyen. (So far, he is having little success.)

He accepts Q's request that no pronouns be used when referring to Q. It makes perfect sense to him that an individual with more than one personality would dislike the use of pronouns.

A thin Fire divider

Now settled in Deoradhan-Kunibert, Keahi has watched his mate's personality flourish: Q has become much more confident in Q's abilities as a hunter. They spend a good deal of time together out-of-doors, but he also enjoys spending time with the hatchlings, caring for and playing with them. Oftentimes they don't bother with his full name, simply referring to him as "Uncle Kee", but he doesn't mind.
