A very clumsy and meek Wildclaw as a hatchling, even the arts were beyond him and he was often mocked and sighed at for his uselessness. Then one day a Mirror and two Wildclaws arrived and for some reason wanted to take him back to their clan. He's fairly sure his father nearly fell over from laughing so hard. These three were Rezmor, Renata and Acidstorm and what he didn't know was that they'd been sent here at the behest of the clan's ghost to take him. Renata took one look at him and saw potential and on the spot declared she would make him a great warrior for the clan. He's fairly sure his old clan nearly laughed themselves sick.

Despite his clumsiness his magic was strong, his body was strong and his will even stronger but in this clan his clumsiness had been seen first and taken for truth and while his will was strong, it had been stunted by their scorn and his own anti-confrontational manner. Still, when the four arrived back at the lair, his training began. He would describe it as hellish since Renata gave no quarter and drove him hard to push him out of his shell. Slowly but surely, her training and the clan's acceptance has reassured him and he has been firmer in speech and action ever since.

Then just before his first Greenskeeper Gathering Renata took him to the Viridian Labyrinth to train in the Woodland Path. It was near the end the week before when the two were set upon by a rouge boss from the Rainsong Jungle, a Goldenbeast. They were ambushed and in the ensuing fight Renata was taken down and gravely injured while protecting him. To this day he doesn't know what he did because it's lost in an orange haze of rage and protectiveness but he defeated it and got Renata to safety. He bears his own scars from the encounter but has no regrets. These days he's also looking at Renata in a new light but has yet to say a thing about it.

Familiar is Natsu a Lilium Floron though Luffy and his gang are known to play with him and dubbed him Sunny despite Harmony's efforts to get them to use his right name.

Harmony followed Renate deeper into the thick trees of the Shrieking Wilds, he didn’t flinch at every rustle of movement but that was because Renate kept whacking him with her tail every time he did so. They’d separated from the rest of their clanmates when Renata had insisted she use this opportunity to go on a training trip with Harmony. Their clanmates had just waved them off even when Harmony kept giving them pleading looks to not let her, this trip would end with Harmony full of bruises and cuts and aching muscles.
Not long after he’d arrived in the Ghost Lights clan he had met the older Wildclaw who had taken one look at him and claimed she was going to train him into the best warrior the clan had ever seen, second to herself of course. Oh, she trained him all right but it was practically torture! For a Light dragon she was the perfect Wildclaw and she knew it. He often wondered why she thought he could be so great, every other dragon in his family had told him he should take up the arts and do some good but he’d proven so clumsy at it that they’d labeled him as useless.
Being brought to his new clan had been a godsend, he’d figured he could get away from all the disappointment and actually something he was good at or at least not constantly be picked on. Besides himself there were only three other Wildclaws in the whole clan and the oldest, Acidstorm stuck close to his mate Araloz and left the others alone, Haust was only there to try and woo Fantasma and Renata considered him below her enough not to really bug him once she’d established that she was the better fighter.
From what she’d hinted at apparently his mother and her had actually had an encounter and his mother had made a passing remark about maybe she could have better luck with him then they had. So she’d gotten curious and gone to look for him and the rest was history. The next week had been filled with torture, she’d woken him at the crack of dawn and didn’t let him rest until dusk. The only time she stopped was for food and he went to bed every night with Sage’s healing herbs and some of MinthaRosa’s combat healing magic.
Yet he had noticed he’d gotten better, he was reacting faster and didn’t flinch at her elemental slashes and had actually started to engage her where before he’d just run away. He was nowhere near her level still but he was surviving.

The two settled down for the night and he eventually despite the unfamiliar place. He didn’t see Renata watch him for several minutes before falling asleep herself after giving the perimeter one last check, her familiar Leon, a Naphrite Chameleon, curling up on her trademark fedora. She was up before dawn and didn’t give Harmony any favors by immediately waking him up with a Blinding Slash.
The next hour until breakfast was spent running from more of her slashes and whacks. After that they hunted for breakfast which lead more training against the monsters in the woods only this time she fought with him instead of against him. On the way back he spied some herbs he knew from Venus the teamaker made good tea, Renata’s favorite in fact. He doesn’t even think, he just grabs it and brings it with him to use for breakfast, he’s just that nice. It takes a truly terrible soul to get him to hate them. For all Renata tortures him with training, being around each other for hours on end had lead them some kind of comradery and they even got along well

Blood. There was so much blood. Harmony could see it gushing out of his partner from his spot on the ground. He was frozen in half-terror half-pain. He’d fallen first after all and now because he’d been too weak his partner, his best friend, his lo-…she might not make it because she’d been protecting him. He could see the black scales on her side barely lift with breath, a relief no matter how small, that she wasn’t lost to him yet. He nearly relaxes in relief but he can’t, they’re still right there, too close. It was hopeless, he couldn’t reach her like this, protect her like this, not with them in the way and no one around for miles. So this was it, this was how they were going to d-.

‘No!’ He growled to himself.

She’d never let him give up before and if she could she’d tell him not to give up now. He struggles up and stands on trembling legs. Everything burns and for a Fire dragon that says something. They had no idea how the ‘boss’ monsters of Rainsong Jungle had managed to get this far from their territory without anyone knowing at /this/ time of year but it didn’t really matter if they didn’t get out of this alive. They were close to the Woodland Path which wasn’t much of a challenge anymore but it should have been /safe/. The Jungle was on the other side of the Wilds for Eleven’s sake! Renata was a slave driver in their training but she wasn’t suicidal, it was only the two of them, no healer or mage and even her ferocious Blinding Slash didn’t do anything to these beasts. This is far from what she planned on this training trip.

He sways on his feet, his own blood staining the green grass, black flickers at the edges of his vision and his heart is pounding like a deafening drum in his ears. Despite this he feels like more than blood is leaking out, leaving him feeling both lighter yet more and more solid. The hulking golden giant closest to her turned to him when it noticed he was up, it snarled wordlessly, glaring with unbridled hatred, the silver counterpart joining not a moment later. But he only glares and snarls right back, he was tired of being meek and cowardly. Renata hadn’t put this much work and /faith/ into him for him to just go and die like this.

The creeping black suddenly envelopes his sight before it bursts into brilliant orange like a citrine jewel held up to the firelight. He doesn’t even realize he’s moving until he feels his claws dig into flesh and draw blood and a roar splits the air. That’s the last thing he can recall before it he loses himself in the fire. They had ambushed them and hurt them and /hurt her/ and he has never been so angry in his life. He wants this over and done with, to be back with their clan and out of these woods that he wants to /burn/ and have her safe and whole and he wants these two monsters to be /gone/. He wants them /eliminated/.

It started rather normally which should have been his first warning. The Matriarch had gone around in the week before the Gathering, asking if anyone wanted to make the pilgrimage to the Viridian Labyrinth for the yearly festival. Most of the native Nature dragons had said no, only Prevusid offered since he wanted to introduce his mate and son to his old clan. She had been delighted but had continued to ask the rest of the clan if anyone else wanted to go, most of them were so busy they also declined. When she’d finally gotten to Renata the black WIldclaw had stated she was going because she wanted to train him in his ancestral homeland. The Tundra had wished them well and completely overlooked how terrified he’d looked at her utterly feral grin at the time.

You see Harmony wasn’t the most Wildclawish Wildclaw to exist. He’d been labeled a useless sack of scales by his birth clan, to clumsy and unskilled to even hold a paintbrush. When the Patriarch had visited he’d brought two other Wildclaws with him, the oldest Acidstorm and young Renata herself. To this day he doesn’t know what made the Mirror ask for him but he could never be anything but grateful. Even if Renata had taken one look at him and declared she was going to train him to be the best. He was sure his father had nearly hyperventilated, he’d been laughing so hard.

Ever since, his life had gotten much harder. Renata wasn’t much older than him but her skill in battle was already leagues ahead. Her family tree was also much larger and more prestigious then his humble six generations. She didn’t really lord that over him though, oh she’d mention it plenty of times but not to put him down but instead to show how far he could go. It had taken a while before he realized it and marveled at what a new experience that was. That didn’t mean he liked the torture disguised as training though.

He’d admit it paid off, he still can’t beat her in a fight but she’d somehow managed to actually train him to be strong, to run faster, last longer, hit harder. The other dragon’s weren’t slouches when it came to a fight but Renata had explained that with how large they were getting so rapidly that they /needed/ actual warriors and guards which was what they were training to be and he could see the difference. The gap between was closing fast and none of the others were focused on training, they’d keep their skills sharp but not advancing like they were. This worried him, he loved this clan, they’d never looked down on him and always treated him so kindly and he wanted to protect them. At this point he actually throws himself into the training even if he refuses to call it such. He’d go to bed with cuts and bruises wake up with far less aches then expected thanks to the wonderful healers but that only meant she could push him even harder than yesterday.

After weeks of this though, they’d gotten closer. When she wasn’t trying to run him into the ground they actually got along very well. She’d force him out of his shell and could actually get him to make a statement without stuttering. He got her to slow down a little and enjoy other things in life besides training and fighting. The longer they spent together the more they trusted each other and the more they just seemed to line up until they were moving as one unit instead of two separate dragons. He’s not sure when he started looking at her differently, maybe it instinct, maybe was just him but suddenly he was looking at her as not just a part of his family but a part of him as well. He’d freaked out. Finally he’d calmed down and some of his clan even pushed him to make a move which he very tentatively did but it went right under her head. She still looked at him as only her battle partner and probably would for a while yet until he could actually go claw to claw with her. He himself completely missed the fact she had already chosen him and thought he was the dense one but that is another story.

So they had left for the Gathering and had arrived a week early and Renata had put them to the challenge of getting through the Woodland Path as easily as possible. So they’d thrown themselves into the fray and make headway. Stranglers and Cockatrice and Dryads fall to them and they eat fairly well on Owls and Chargers. They learn through trial and error how to hunt in the thick underbrush and maneuver around the thick roots. Where to lay traps and make shelter and what would only take one blow to kill and the best watering spot. It took longer than back in the Wastes with no healer or even a combat medic but the longer they manage and begin going to bed with less and less injuries. Harmony begins to feel more and more at ease in the Labyrinth and even his more violent actions where before he’d still been timid at trying to fight, so sure that he was still the weak useless child he’d been. It was…freeing to know he was strong now, strong enough to protect but Renata never let it go to head that just because he could take down a Bamboo Phytocat doesn’t mean he still won’t have trouble with a Basilisk.

Before things go wrong it had actually crossed his mind for a second or two that he didn’t really want to leave. But of course he tempted fate with such thoughts and not long after, mere hours before the Gathering is set to start two Beasts ambush them, taking them completely by surprise. Renata reacts first, going for the closest threat the white furred one but it seems like her Blinding Slash is resisted. Even his Blazing Slash doesn’t throw them off, he has no idea what elements they are but it seems like they’re not getting out of this easy. Even when they try to flee they just find the way blocked by the other and then it goes from bad to worse when the manage a blow on Renata that winds which is just long enough to land a critical blow and send her flying. When one goes to attack again it would have surely finished her if he didn’t lunge at them but it was futile because he just gets injured as well. When he falls, he’s sure he’s about to pass out but he can’t stand the thought that if he wakes up Renata might not. That’s when the spark that’s been lit inside him really starts to burn.

When the orange haze finally disappears he wonders if he actually killed them but the shredded bodies can’t really be anything else. He stumbles over to her and does his best to haul her on his back, there’s a stream a few minutes away and a large clan’s lair a day or two beyond that. They can’t stay here while this injured. He leaves her there for only a minute and retrieves the most important things they need, especially the measly three minor health potions. They aren’t much but they’ll have to be. He gives them to her only taking a sip for himself and readies a harness for him for carry her better. He can practically feel the heated gaze of other creatures on them but he’s pretty sure he’s snarling something fierce right now and ignores them, if they try anything he’ll just take them out too. When he turns back to her he’s surprised to find a pained yellow eye staring back at him blearily. She tries to move but he stops her with a gentle trembling hand and a quiet plead.

“It’s alright, they’re gone now. Just rest, you’re the most injured. I’ll take of everything.” He’s not sure why but she listens, drifting back into a healing sleep. He packs everything and after some maneuvering gets both it and her on his back and then with determined steps begins their journey back to civilization. He will never forget what happened but wouldn’t want to even if it were possible. The Fire inside has tasted Nature and won’t let him ever forget. But that’s alright, he thinks this wildfire in his blood can only help him protect those he cares about so this will never happen again.
