RADIO Working hard or hardly working, eh Radio? Radio is a whimsical and fun-loving dragon who has led a long and fruitful life. He has a gentle nature and always has a smile on his face. Somehow, even though he's a bit lax at times, has managed to run a successful trade business in the Windswept Plateau. His store front is a bit disorganized, but this just helps him have more free-time if people overlook his quality goods. Starting his journey as a young Tundra, he found himself alone in The Windswept Plateau and -perhaps on a whim- he decided to establish his own lair. He never though that his little home in the Zephyr Steppes would attract any wandering dragons, but very soon he was joined by Yindi, who took a liking to the him. They both worked hard as merchants and their little clan became prosperous. Radio was bestowed a Tiger gene scroll by the Lair Spirit (Sludgy) to reward his efforts. It was the first of such gifts, with a Spiral breed change and Shimmer gene scroll following not long afterwards. In the early days these items were rare, signalling to others that Radio was a dragon of good fortunes. Very soon he was joined by other dragons who quickly became his family, and while many of them have moved on to other endeavors, some of the original lair member still call this place home. |

THE CHANGING OF TIMES... November and Atavus have stayed with Radio the longest and he couldn't imagine a lair without them by his side. As time continued he was joined by many more dragons, most notably a little imperial named Arkantos. Arkantos and Radio were fast friends. | Since those early times, Radio has moved his lair to the Southern Icefields and given his clan the name of "Southern Skyway." Leadership of the clan was handed over to Arkantos, who has proven himself on many occasions to be a fine leader. During this time they befriended many other clans and met many types dragons in anticipation of growing their influence in the region. Over the years his clan has been a place of greetings and farewells to young and old dragons alike... |

SOUTHERN SKYWAY
RESPITE AND TRADE STATION |

The clan has been living in the Southern Icefields for several years now. A large respite station has formally been opened by the clan near the north-eastern coast, in one of the smaller coastal mountains in the Cloudscrape Crags. This opening coincided with Radio's fourth birthday -- a gift from the clan to their clan's founder as a way of realizing his heat's ambitions. Radio has always desired to help people in his own way, and this place is where he feels that he (and his clan) could make the biggest difference. Coupled together with his enjoyment that comes from selling and trading goods, how could he ask for anything other than the "Southern Skyway: Respite and Trade Station." |
RADIO'S RESUPPLY STATION

His little station within the station. Radio is very pleased with his store. During the planning of the Southern Skyway interior, he selfishly allocated a large area for his store to be built. The location is also a prime spot for foot traffic as traveling dragons come and go. Of course, this was his right as the clan's founder. The clan members naturally understood this, however they still shoot him a few envious glances as he tends to his store. The store stocks all manner of useful tools and supplies. Radio asks Inventor and Brimstone to make several types of tools and utensils, which he sells at his store. The profits are returned to “Smelt My Heart Metalworks”, with him only taking a small commission. Radio also capitalises on selling basic travel clothing for dragons that are unaccustomed to the cold climate. While this apparel is sufficient for the Icefields, some dragons prefer to purchase higher-quality clothes from Midnight Emporium if they have the spare treasure. Preserved food makes up a large portion of his sales after clothing and utensils. The Icefields have an abundance of food if a dragon knows how to find it, however this is not something every traveller knows how to do in the snow. His food supplies come from private traders who deal with the station. In fact, he trades with many suppliers and other travellers to make up a large variety of goods, which means that new stock arrives daily. There is always something useful to be found at Radio’s Resupply Station. Due to Radio’s sometimes lax personality, he has hired an assistant to keep his books, trade agreements and stock sheets in order, as well as minding the store. This mission falls to his daughter Illoria, who seems to enjoy the job that nobody else would want to do. Radio and Illoria have fun and they treat this as a bonding experience due to them being separated for many years earlier. Other clan members can only hope that Radio’s carefree tactic of dealing with the store doesn’t rub off onto his daughter. |
