Member of the Royal Guard

Mezawari is a warrior of the clan's Royal Guard, tasked with protecting the clan and gathering essential materials. She's a little odd, and bears frightening scars from a battle in the Abiding Boneyard, but the other guard dragons are proud to work with her and call her their friend. Many of Mezawari's young, had with her mate Morpheus, have been sent to join and serve in the dominance wars under the deities, or simply left to join other clans, and the pair couldn't be prouder. Of course, their son Hayate is an exception, and seems to have no idea what to do. His parents hope he'll figure it all out soon.

Mezawari, despite being a dragon of Wind, grew up in the Shrieking Wilds. Always adventurous, she'd sneaked into the pack of a dragon going scavenging in the region, only to fall out and get separated upon arrival. She was lost, terribly so, but did not allow herself to lose hope. The resourceful creature taught herself how to hunt, and how to defend herself.

Having to deal with predators on a constant basis made her an excellent fighter, and soon enough she became one of the most notorious of the forest's beasts. She would prey upon the dragons that lived in the Shrieking Wilds, snatching up their food when she couldn't hunt for herself. Finally, one clan had had enough, and sent out their greatest warrior, Morpheus, to deal with her.

When Morpheus found her, the two had an incredible duel, but soon realized they were equally matched. She then decided to try and charm her way out of this situation, and make him leave her alone, though it backfired. The other wildclaw soon became enamored with her, and left his clan entirely to join her in the wild. Together, they wandered Sornieth for an age, until they found themselves in the Tangled Wood, and with the clan of Allixestr. Segni, the leader of the time, was impressed with their fighting skills, and appointed them, along with another wildclaw named Sanguine, as members of the royal guard.

As part of the royal guard, Mezawari and the others' job is to protect the clan, and gather both food and raw materials. During one of these expeditions, in the Scarred Wasteland, Mezawari was attacked and nearly fatally wounded by a wandering mirror, infected with an unknown fungus. She only barely survived, though the creature disfigured her face and tore her wings. While she's unembarrassed by her scars, she still makes sure to never go without her face paint, as other dragons are made uncomfortable by her nearly skeletal grin.

None would say that directly to her, of course; Morpheus does not take kindly to his mate being insulted.
