Madame Snapdragon Ghostly Aura Sapphire Feathered Wings

ROLE: STARGAZER

Orion first joined Clan Ozton with stars in his eyes and in his heart. He had been lost for quite a long time, drifting between clans without any personal connections to root him down in one place. But it wasn’t completely without a purpose.

A childhood interest that blossomed into a full blown devotion, Orion became determined to be the very first dragon to reach the stars. But getting other dragons to listen to his dream - let alone to fund the materials and effort needed for it - was much harder than he expected, and he found himself leaving every clan he encountered once they told him to bring his head back down from the clouds.

So when he started to hear tales of the oasis for dragons with nowhere else to go, a city hiding in a canyon in the furthest reaches of the Lightning deserts, he decided he was going to go there. He was going to appeal for a chance.

Of course, rumors always tend to have some degree of truth, and some degree of falsehoods. Instead of the welcoming paradise Orion had been expecting, he instead found himself right in the middle of a political upheaval, a plague of mysterious origins, and the clan’s precious, life giving river drying up.

Thrown into the mix of bickering, confused and desperate dragons, and without much option to leave; he was forced to become a voice of reason and help bring the clan back down from the brink of disaster. And at the end of it all, he found that he had made more friends than ever before, and that he might not mind sticking around for a while.

Of course, he still spends plenty of time gazing up at the sky, reading the constellations and the weather patterns. He’s become a local expert at astrology and astronomy, and helps teach lessons in using the stars to navigate the desert to junior scouts. He submits a horoscope into the newspaper once a week. He gives advice to the Council on farming schedules, predicting when the rains might come. Orion is content, for the moment, to leave the space race to other dragons.

And The Council is watching him from the sidelines, waiting for the day that he chooses to renew his efforts in reaching the stars. They just might find his proposal interesting.
