Zoisite was born as a Nocturne to another clan to a line of Crystal Mages.

She joined her current clan during a meeting between the clans. When asked about the clan-change, Zoisite says that she had been very interested in the sky island and the way the clan uses pink chalcedony. While this is true, she also has told some that she was following the singing of the crystals.

Zoisite is able to shape and manipulate all kinds of crystalline minerals, but her strongest connection is to the pink chalcedony of Starfall Isles. The chalcedony itself works as a medium and a container for magical energy, and Zoisite is connected straight to the magical energy of the Isles. Her way of using the magic seems to be a mixture of telepathic powers and singing, and she can be heard humming to the crystals while shaping them.

Guardians have always been linked to the legend of Crystal Mages, and one day the tiny Nocturne shape-changed herself into a Guardian: she cocooned herself into a crystalline chrysalis of pink. Her explanation was that in her new form she was able to use the magic in the ways she had not been before.

Zoisite is highly respected in the clan, and her task is to maintain and overview the chalcedony-parts of the lair, such as the great crystals that the clan uses to keep the sky island flying.

Before Zoisite the clan already had some understanding on how to shape and manipulate pink chalcedony via magic and more mundane means, but her innate skills have proved superior. While she has tried to teach other dragons they have not been able to learn her way, but they have still been able to learn some bits and pieces and integrate them to their own magics.
