BLEAKFALLS CLAN FOUNDER - GODDESS OF THE BARROW

Born of the Arcanist herself, at the dawn of the 4th age, she was set into the world to claim lands in the name of her creator and bring many Clans to life to fill His region with dragonkind. The notion that her life would be devoted to the service and praise of another did not call out to her. She stubbornly withdrew into the Starwood Strand to meditate and find her true place in this world. Eventually she was drawn to an abandoned temple carved into the side of a mountain.

As she approached the temple a force drew her in. It was a grand temple built to honor dragonkind. It had been ravaged by time and looted by other fledgling Clans but there was no trace of life within the grand structure. As she pressed further within she came across the graves of ancient dragons, their bones littered the floor, as well as the fresher dragon carcasses. It would seem that their attempts to steal from these ancients cost them their lives. She took the scene in with unemotional eyes and sat amongst the bones to meditate once more.

Many hours passed and the grand dragoness rose to her feet and began to wordlessly collect the bones of the ancient dragons, placing them back within the burial chamber. After discarding the carcasses of the thieving dragons, she picked up different treasures that were also scattered about the room and placed them amongst the bones. She sealed the vault once again, and placed wreaths of flowers over the door, saying a quiet prayer for the souls of those within.

She turned to leave but something called to her from within the vault. She placed one hand on the sealed door and the voices of those within spoke to her "Thank you for honoring our physical remains" a light voice cooed "We can now continue to protect those within our Realm" another voice hissed "As a reward, we insist you remain here within our Temple. You will be protected for generations to come. Start a Clan here, bring laughter and love to our resting place so our powers can grow."

"I have no one. I am the only one." she thought, projecting her words to the Spirits who spoke to her. "They will come" the voices responded immediately "you are no longer alone." The blue dragoness nodded to the spirits, pulling her palm off of the door and returning her attention to the room. She swept around the grounds, cleaning up the broken pottery shards and returning glory to the old halls. Days passed and she tasked herself with cleaning the Temple, when there was a mighty knock at the iron doors that closed the temple off from the world.

Two Guardians stood before the Imperial dragoness, who looked like a Spiritual Being to them. They had never seen such beauty and grace in dragonkind before. "Lady of the Temple" the male Guardian called out as he bowed his head, "May we come to serve you and your mighty Barrow?" Ariana turned her head slightly as she took in the words. "Do as you wish, but respect this place. No not disgrace those within these walls, and live a pure life. That is all I ask." she said as she turned her body to the side, allowing the dragons access.

Ariana is very unemotional, and her demeanor can be slightly unsettling to more gregarious dragons. She does not display any extreme emotion, such as elation or anger. She seemingly floats with each step she takes which gives her the appearance of a deity. Ariana has a tender heart and is compassionate towards other dragons.

For many generations she lived alone and spoke seldom, but eventually her heart opened to long-time Clan member Tenshu. He had a fondness for her for many years but felt it out of line to ask her to be his mate. He made a vow to protect her, to his death. They spent every moment together, and she could no longer deny the strong feelings she had for him. They are bonded for life, hopelessly devoted to one another.
