 Gale

When Gale decided as a child that she wanted to learn magic, her brothers teased her. Why on earth wouldn't she want to be a fighter? Why would she want to stand in the back and not hit things? But when she nervously told her parents, both Silas and Ciri supported her wholeheartedly. To know magic is to know healing, they said, and her brothers would be thankful someday that she was there to protect them. The thought of her brothers needing her protection encouraged Gale to never back down to them about her choice--and now as they hunt together, Gust and Billow are very happy that she followed her heart.

Gale is inspeparable from her brothers, and loves spending time with her family. In her eagerness to have a family of her own, she mated with a dragon named Summerwrought against the advice of her parents, who said he had not been with the clan for long enough for them to be sure of him. Soon after their two children, Bea and Ben, were grown, they chose to go serve the Windsinger with their father, who was restless and wanted to see action (May 2015). They visit rarely, but the three of them are doing well as fighters. Ben's colors are close to his grandfather's.

Now she is happy with her mate Frost, son of clan members Jarvis and Iris. They love to study magic and practice it together, and are part of the group learning about transmutation. She is also best friends with Nyomi, her brother's wife.

Their first nest brought Morgan, Bill, and Harry into the family. Bill is named after Gale's brother, Billow. Bill and Harry were exalted in July 2015 to fight alongside their family.
