Faqir does honor to Windsinger after his own fashion: by being about as flighty, chatty, and breezy as possible. He was born fae, but transitioned to coatl soon after. He's very comfortable in this form and enjoys preening his silky feathers, eyeing his own iridescence with great admiration, and waddling to and fro as he selects from several of the finest jewels his clan has on offer.

Though he might seem insufferably self-involved, Faqir's infectious laugh and good humor make him popular and well-loved among his clan. Even his serious-minded sister cracks a smile when Faqir waddles by with an irreverent comment. His place is not on the battlefield, but at the heart of his clan's ancient lair in Cloudsong. He has tremendous fondness for the many orphans and foundlings his lady mother finds.

Faqir is a born optimist, and stubborn to boot. It is not his way to give in to despair. Every cloud has a silver lining. He would know, why; he lives in them!

His mother encouraged him to mate, and he did so, and he loved the children very much, oh they were so beautiful, as elegant as their mother. But they were so mighty and so powerful. Imperials.

Send your firstborn to Windsinger, his mother encouraged. There is no gift more precious, nothing He would prize more. So Faqir did as he does in all things and obeyed his lady mother.

But he misses them. Aurora, Auroric. His heart hurts when he thinks of them, the rosy tendrils wound round their iridescent scales. Is it insolent, is it offensive to their deity to wish for his children back? He believes Windsinger would understand.

He had never imagined he would long for children, and a little mother to make them with. He can't have his little ones back. But he wants to be selfish like his mother. Surely that's allowed? To keep just one. Just two? Just a few. To love them and watch them grow.
