Biography

Louise

Louise loves to cheer people up. She almost always looks on the bright side of life, but can also sympathize with someone when they're sad.

It wasn't always like this though. While it is true that Louise was cheerful when she was young, that all changed when she grew up. How can that be? You might ask, and I'll tell you why. After finishing dragon school, she decided to find a mate. Finally, she met 'the one'. He was sweet, compassionate, caring, and so much more! (He was also handsome, and that didn't hurt) They took nest building classes for a few months, and finally decided that they were ready. But no matter what they did, their nest was always empty. Eventually, Louise decided to get tested. Turns out she was infertile. After hearing this, her mate immediately left. Thus began the saddest period of her life.

The news spread like wildfire across the dragons. After that no one would even consider being her mate. Soon not even her friends would hang with her in case she was contagious.

"I just want to be loved!" she sobbed one night alone in the woods, "Is that too much to ask?" Seeing how upset she was, her owner asked her if she'd like a fresh start. She thought about this, and decided that it was probably her best option right now. Soon, she was in a new lair. But there was no comfort there either. One, no one still would be her mate. Two, the other dragons wouldn't let her anywhere near their babies, because they feared that they might ended up like her. She was hated by most parents there, because they all wanted grandbabies and she couldn't give them. She was forbidden to play with the other dragons, and eventually banished. She wandered for days before finding a clan that would accept her, and even then, she felt like she was intruding and didn't belong. Worst yet, every dragon here had a mate. Everyone but her. She sulked for a few months, talking to no one. She saw the worry in the other dragons eyes, but dismissed it. One day, something unusual happened though. Blenore called her over to the clan entrance, and it didn't seem to be meal time. She was worried that it might be one of her old clan members, but it wasn't. Instead, it was a little mirror hatchling.

"Who is this?" she asked, curiously.

"This is Moth. He doesn't have a family either, and is looking for a new one. Know anyone who would be interested?" Blenore winked. Louise looked into the young mirrors eyes. In them she saw all the emotions she had been through. Pain, rejection, and sadness, those were there. But mostly, she saw guilt. Because of this, Louise decided to give him a chance.

"Hello Moth," she said, "My name is Louise. I have no babies of my own, and was wondering if you'd like to be my baby." Moth seemed to finally relax, and ran forward to give her a hug.

"Yes," he said, "I'd like that very much."

Now, Louise is more like she was when she was young. She is cheerful, and very accepted at her new clan. The other parents love to have her take care of the kids, although she spends the majority of her time with Moth. She has given up on finding a mate, and has decided that Moth is all she needs. She loves Moth dearly, and would do anything for him.
