"Never stop searching."

A dragon who was a wanderer since she was very little, Arvid took quite a bit of convincing from Javor to settle in a lair. The only reason why she finally caved into his request was because having a permanent lair would allow her to keep her hoard, at the time kept in bags nearly bursting at the seams, in a safe location. She is a true pack rat, searching everywhere for small trinkets that have known or unknown origins. She values the ones that have an air of mystery surrounding them far more than the items that have a definite backstory, even to the point that she would rather have a strange looking dried leaf than a string of jewels if she couldn't identify the plant that it came from.

Arvid's younger life was full of uncertainty. While most dragons would hate moving from one region to another all the time, she loved it, even going as far as to venture into bordering enemies' territory just to see the land for herself. There were times when she lived on her own and times when she lived within a clan, but she always kept moving, stuffing her packs with all sorts of trinkets to remind her of her journeys.

Arvid's clan life is almost as varied as her traveling life was. Sometimes, she sneaks off with Javor, Hakan, or Junipik in the night to scavenge for items across Flight borders. Other times, she shares stories of her travels with her closest clanmates, or listens to the tales of dragons making their journey to the Windsinger's ranks. Her favorite activity, oddly enough, is studying her trinket collection for hours on end. This time is sacred to her, and if any dragon interrupts it, (save for Javor) they'd better watch out.

Her relationship with her clanmates is highly mixed. Despite being the leader of her clan, she bears a silent annoyance toward some of her clan members, while absolutely adoring others. (Mainly those who can put up with her midnight shenanigans) She would lay down her own life if Javor, her faithful mate and traveling companion, was in danger. Junipik is another one of her favorites, as his shadow heritage aids Arvid greatly when scavenging at night. Plus, he's always up for a quick prank on one of the other dragons, which Arvid shamelessly takes part in. She's friendly with Hakan, who helps her on her scavenging missions, as well as Berkeley, an older tundra dragon who would happily trade tales of adventurous exploits for a whole day.

As for dislikes, Arvid has trouble putting up with Maurelle and Cornelious, for quite different reasons. Maurelle is a flighty, energetic fae with a tongue that never quits moving, and a never ending twitch in her tail. While Arvid enjoys a conversation, she can't take Maurelle's constant interruptions and overbearing demeanor. The only reason why she hasn't been promptly kicked from the clan by Arvid is because she's too agile for Arvid to actually catch, and takes any amount of angry yelling with a giggle and a prompt flight from the premises. Arvid's dislike of Cornelious is a bit more complex. Cornelious is the stoic voice of reason in the clan, and as much as Arvid disagrees with him, she needs him around to keep her sane. Due to her tendency to make rash decisions, Cornelious is sometimes taken more seriously as a leader than Arvid is. When a conflict is in sight, members of the group are more likely to look to Cornelious for instruction than Arvid, sometimes flat out disobeying her. Obviously, she's quite irritated about this fact, but always begrudgingly realizes that Cornelious is right in the end. (Though she would never admit it.)

Arvid is a powerful, free-spirited leader for a very free-spirited clan, and would go to any length to protect the dragons who she loves.
