Berekiel, The Druid

Berekiel is a tough old warrior, and an asset to the clan, but he prefers the quiet of the Verdling Grove to the bustle of dragons and beastclan members, and is seldom seen in camp. When he is, he's usually accompanied by his longtime companion Naethanniel. The Mirror and Fae arrived in Clan Menhir's territory together, following a disastrous battle with Beastclan raiders; Naethanniel was largely unhurt, but Berekiel's recovery took considerable time and magic, and eventually the twin keepers of the Verdling Grove, Veloden and Venodel, were asked to assist.

In part due to their help, Bere sees the Grove's caretaking as his personal responsibility, and he spends most of his time under its shade. He has chosen to assist Venodel personally, rather than his more boisterous brother, and is sometimes seen roaming the wood with Venodel's other underlings: a Harpy and a Centaur.

He has gained some new abilities from the Grove itself, though few in the clan have witnessed them: the ability to harden his skin into barklike armor, sharper fangs and claws, and a small amount of healing magic.
