No one was really sure what to think of Darius when he showed up at the clan's trading outpost in the middle of a sunny afternoon. And they were even less sure why the energetic young Nocturne decided to stay with them instead of continuing his journey to the Tempest Spire with the rest of the recruited soldiers and employees. He would have made a good intern, they decided, with his quick wit and easy way with others. Devara saw those qualities in him too, and while the rest of the clan puzzled over what to do with their new member, she sidled up to the young dragon and whispered in his ear.

"How would you like to be a merchant?"

He looked back up at her, and his eyes brightened. "Would I get to work with you?"

"As a matter of fact, yes. But you'd only be an apprentice at first, and there are many things to learn."

"Pfft." The Nocturne snorted, and the glimmer of pride in his eyes confirmed Devara's suspicion that this dragon could be great one day. "I can learn anything, from anyone. But I think I'm gonna like learning from you! So when do we start?" 		~~~~~~
