　　Mercury acts as the healer within the Clan, especially on fighting missions. True to her element of origin, she trained extensively in preparation for her role, and studied all the many scrolls and books about healing that she could find. Together with her own observations, she has built a solid foundation of medical knowledge, herbal lore and magical healing to aid her team. There is no wound or broken bone she can’t fix and her administrations are swift and sure.

　　Despite the role she has chosen to fill, Mercury is not overtly affectionate. While she cares about other dragons, even very deeply, she doesn’t show it on the outside. Instead, she keeps a cool and somewhat sarcastic facade that can fool those who don’t know her very well. Her attitude can sometimes cause her to clash with others, newcomers in particular, before they get to know her better and understand that the true wealth of her emotions lies underneath her prickly exterior.

　　She knows of course that she could make life for herself and for others easier if she were just a little bit less snarky, but Mercury doesn’t see why she should change just for the convenience of others. She is who she is, and if they can’t accept that, well! That’s their problem, not hers. Instead of playing nice with someone else, she stays true to who she is, once again honouring the values of the element she was born into. Truth rules, be it the truth of books or the truth of who she is.

　　With her snarky attitude and insistence of staying just like that, Mercury might not always be the easiest dragon to get along with, but she is nevertheless a valuable asset to her team and her clan. More importantly, she is still a deeply caring person and thus a loyal friend to those close to her.
