Kyros

Whether Kyros is a living creature or not is a mystery even to the most knowledgeable of Ice scholars. Frozen inside a block of ice when he was first discovered, his arcane radiation drew a strange parasite to his unconscious body. No one knows how long the infestation raged within him while he slept in his frozen tomb, and no one knows how far it has spread within him.

The skydancer is clad only with bandages and strange implements of pearl and darksteel. No one has ever seen him replace the bandages, despite the the inky splotches which begin to rage across the bandages as the day goes on, but every morning the bandages are clean and fresh. Beneath his garb, Kyros' skin ripples and twitches like a thousand maggots are running amok beneath his skin. Considering the parasitic infestation he bears, that may not be too far from the truth.

Kyros does not speak, sleep, or eat. He drinks only the water which drips from icicles, and seems to sustain himself off of the cold. His once bright gems are now grey and cold from the presence of the parasite within him, and frost grows over his feathers from the unnatural chill emanating from his body. Between the arcane radiation and the parasitic infestation, his entire body seems to be ready to fall apart at the seams. Perhaps the bandages are the only things holding him together...
