Biography

Hathor
High Priestess of the Dreaming Moon Clan

From the time Hathor was a hatchling she had always been fascinated by the stars. Born under a clear, cold night, Hathor's first look was the starry sky. While the rest of her clan worked fervently under the Stormcatcher, Hathor hid herself away to study astronomy. Eventually she left her clan, settling someplace in Shadow territory.

Hathor wandered deeper into the Firefox Bramble where she would come across a small clan who suddenly revered her as a goddess. The clan seer had foretold a Nocturne matching Hathor's description would come, so Hathor decided to stay awhile. Showered with offerings of gold, jewelry, silks and the finest foods, Hathor enjoyed her time spent while also being able to explore the surrounding land. Although she wasn't always alone. Two Skydancers named Hecate and Morrigan would often stay by her side, both being the clan's priestesses who wanted to serve their goddess. They even went as far as to paint Hathor's wings to resemble the night sky.

On one outing, Hathor discovered a very curious item; a small Spiral statue crafted from obsidian. Something about it compelled her to take it despite her conscience telling her not to. Such an item couldn't cause that much trouble. Returning back to the lair, she began to examine it further as the statue somehow felt alive, its piercing blue eyes shining in the darkness. Hathor almost thought she could hear it laughing at her. Hecate and Morrigan shared their own discomfort towards the statue.
Hathor finally decided to discard the statue once the entire clan started to feel ill. Having thought over several possibilities, she threw the statue hoping it would shatter and break whatever curse it lay. Unfortunately luck was not at her side. The statue did break, but it oozed a black substance from its remains. From it, Hathor heard its laughter again. "Quite the foolish goddess, aren't you?" the disembodied voice said. The ooze took on the shape of a Spiral, smiling viciously at Hathor. "Call me Apophis, for you and I are about to become well acquainted with each other." Then the Spiral melted into the shadows, leaving Hathor aghast.

Unsure of what she unleashed, Hathor quickly gathered her necessities in order to search for Apophis. She quickly flew out of the lair, refusing to hear any possible accusations thrown at her. It wasn't until she heard two pairs of wingbeats that she noticed her priestesses were following. Coming to a halt to hear their explanation, Hecate and Morrigan offered to help Hathor. Welcoming their assistance the three would set off on their journey.

They would later come to rest in the Starfall Isles, having found Apophis's trail. The matriarch of the Dreaming Moon clan allowed the three dragons to stay for however long they liked. Days later, much to Hathor's horror, Apophis began to take up residence in the lair. She pleaded with Aria to remove Apophis, unfortunately it was decided the Spiral was here to stay.

Hathor and her two faithful priestesses have taken it upon themselves to watch over Apophis. Neither one is sure of Apophis's motives or why he has chosen to remain very close to his enemies, but they know not to let their guard off him. Hathor may as well continue playing her role as goddess for just a little longer.
