"Did you hear about what Dianthus did earlier?"

Deltoides is more approachable than his mate, Dianthus, but this does not mean he is better liked. Being the only one who can stand her company and vice versa, he's often employed to ferry messages back and forth between her and the rest of the clan. He does so willingly and without change- repeating everything exactly, parroting words in his monotonous voice. Even for a fae, he's expressionless; his fins barely move at all. The only time he really shows any emotion is when talking about Dianthus, and she's all he talks about. It grates on the rest of the clan a little as they cannot see her charm but to him, she's the the world.

He's known Dianthus for all his life. They joined the clan together and he never strays too far from her company. She seems to tolerate him and use him, ordering him about as she wishes. He doesn't mind; he wants to help her in any way he can. He adores her with every fibre of his beings it seems, and the rest of the clan wonder why he puts up with her bossing him around. The truth is, his identity was formed around her. Without her, there is no him. Due to this, he'll follow her to the ends of the land and back again.
