The last time he’d smiled had been years ago now. It wasn’t dramatic. Beginnings had simply… stopped caring enough to smile. Between losing her, his job, and a friend, life wasn’t... joyful? It wasn’t that he wasn’t happy. He was. But Beginnings knew something was missing. Perhaps someone who could bring joy back into his existence? For a moment, he thought that maybe he should try again. The thought died before it became fully realized. Maybe it’d happen someday. Until then, he would simply not smile.
