He shivered in the warmth. It didn’t seem to work anymore. Not after being saved. Three years? Two? Maybe? They’d said they found him in the snow, barely alive. Without their help, he would have certainly died. Crepe knew something had happened–he remembered the cold, always remembered the cold. But for some reason… whenever he tried to think too hard about their story, there were holes. Pieces that… didn’t line up. For now, he wouldn’t question it though. He couldn’t.
