Verde is one of the gentlest and sweetest dragons you’ll ever meet. She has a way of moving and speaking that puts you at ease no matter the situation, and yet still commands respect. Rumour has it that she was pushed out of the lair at a young age, and found a home with Clan Grazia. There she was taken in by the clan’s leader, Sangria, and received schooling. She went on to become caregiver to the clan’s higher status hatchlings and orphans alike. Verde also had numerous hatchlings of her own.

Eventually she moved on from her clan to find a new home, but did not have to wander far before she came upon the Refuge and quickly found a home among our myriad of misfits. We almost always have at least one hatchling as well as many young dragons, so Verde never has a boring day. She often takes more mischevious dragons, ahem, under her wing, keeping them out of too much trouble and finding a productive use for their talents.

Another thing Verde has taken an interest in is genealogy. She found it odd that so many of our dragons, like her, had little to no knowledge of their birth family. So, she searched. With assistance from Starai she scoured books and records for any trails to follow, and in many instances was successful. So far, Verde’s efforts have successfully reconnected many of our dragons with siblings or parents, and even managed to convince Fade’s twin sister Rubidium to join the Refuge.

Much of her time now is occupied by hatchling care, and she always takes it upon herself to educate the little ones about their family and ancestry.
