Named for a rogue member of the Suliban Cabal from Star Trek: Enterprise.

Abandonded by her mother shortly after hatching, Sarin thought that she was for sure going to die alone in the scrub in the Southern Icefield. She attributes the fact that she was born to the land of ice as being the only reason she was able to survive long enough for Thorin to find her. When he did, he took her in, and together they traveled around the land of the IceWarden, being rejected by clan after clan until they met Icheb, and he took pity on them and took them in.
