Her name was the Nexus of Knowledge. Or at least, that’s what she’d been called for as long as she could remember. Although, she couldn’t remember much besides sitting in this cave, waiting for dragons to come to her. And when they did come, they came bearing gifts, food, clothing, luxurious decor, and so much more. Then, they would ask her questions. Questions about… anything. Nexus knew the answers to everything, after all, she was the Prophet of Lightning. But she knew knowledge could be dangerous, which is why she had moved here and established nearly impossible trials required to meet with her. Still, dragons came, making their way to ‘The Nexus’, and she would aid them. But even as her treasure hoard grew, none of it was worth anything compared to a small scrap-book in the corner, weathered by years of exposure, and filled with pictures of Nexus with other dragons whose names she couldn’t remember, smiling and enjoying life together. More than anything, she waits for one of them to appear, and to talk with her for a while, but she knows it will never happen.
